Teaching

"...enthusiasm, encouragement, and expectation.." are the three main points I try to communicate with my teaching. I teach an ever-expanding class of cello pupils across Central & North/North-West London, of varying ages and abilities. If you have questions regarding my teaching work, or if you are interested in booking a consultation lesson for your child or for yourself, please use the contact form below, or send me an email on l.hillerudh (at) gmail.com.

I teach beginners up to past grade 8 (ABRSM/Trinity standard), and am happy to be a regular teacher or just "fill-in" if lessons at school aren't enough. I try to give my pupils performance opportunities wherever possible, and I am aiming to create relaxed lesson-situations where pupils have the best chance to explore the cello and develop general musicianship skills.

I am proud to have a 100% student pass rate on ABRSM/Trinity exams, and currently all students I have prepared for exams have achived Merit or higher.

I have a DBS-check and am currently in process of obtaining my Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music (LRAM) teaching diploma.

Lydia is also punctual, polite, professional, and generally just a pleasure to have in our home." Mrs. D.
